The Pappoutsakis Board is sad to report the death of Louise Pappoutsakis, beloved wife of James Pappoutsakis, on November 3, 2003. Born Louise Came, she and Jimmy met early on in their careers, before joining the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Louise was an active member of the harp community here. She had moved to Florida and was looking forward to her 90th birthday on February 2, 2004. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Pappoutsakis Flute Competition.
